Welcome to Sunny Florida!

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2011 Academy of International Business-Southeast (AIB-SE) USA forthcoming conference in Orlando, Florida. AIB-SE is among the Academy of International Business’ most active regional chapters, supporting an annual conference, a journal, and a doctoral consortium. The Chapter’s mission is to encourage and assist research activities that advance knowledge of international business, increase the available body of teaching materials, and facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among educators and between international business and academic fields.
AIB-SE seeks articles in various stages of development, panel discussions, and scholars at various stages in their career from multiple disciplines who can contribute to the Chapter’s mission.

This year’s conference will be held at Rollins College, Orlando, Florida, between October 26 – 28, 2011. Close to many world-renowned attractions, the College is also ranked #1 by US News and World Report among US regional universities and colleges of the South, offering a premier academic environment and 125-year old campus which will serve as this year’s conference location.

Previous conference meetings of AIB-SE have hosted academics, university administrators and business practitioners from across the USA and from a variety of countries and regions. This year’s conference theme on “Emerging Markets and Globalization” will garner interest from international scholars, including ones from emerging markets, and we anticipate conference participants from around the world.

The conference offers participants the opportunity to present and develop their work, publish their research in an academic journal and/or our conference proceedings, interact with and learn from leading scholars in the field, and listen to world-class keynoters. This year’s keynoters include two renowned international business scholars: Dr. Mary Ann Van Glinow, who currently serves as the President of the Academy of International Business World and Dr. Summit Kundu, an expert in the field of Emerging Markets.

The conference will also provide opportunities to win one of several awards, including best overall conference paper, best thematic conference paper on “Emerging Markets and Globalization”, best reviewer award, and two best student paper awards. The student awards are named after William J. Ziegler for his contribution to the association. Other awards will be named for conference sponsors.

So, pack your shorts, bring your bathing suits and sun screen, and join us for a great conference in Sunny Florida. Please visit our tentative program to view the many exciting activities that we have planned for this year’s conference by clicking here.
